Steve Pellegrino is an internationally published independent documentary photographer and photojournalist based in Missouri.
Prominent news publications and media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Newsweek, Reason, NY Post, Deutsche Welle, and The Miami Herald, published his photos from the Ferguson protests.
Steve was chosen to be the exclusive photographic contributor to the book “Policing Ferguson, Policing America” by former Ferguson Chief of Police Thomas Jackson. The upcoming documentary on race in America titled “What Killed Michael Brown?” by award-winning writer and filmmaker, Shelby Steele, features his Ferguson photos.
From 2016 through 2019, Steve covered abortion rights issues, which put St. Louis in the international spotlight. Over those years, his photos were published multiple times in The Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, Reason, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, Decision Magazine, and The Daily Signal.
In 2016 Steve covered the Presidential race through assignments for The Washington Post, ZUMA Press Wire Service, and Demotix News Wire.
