Steve Pellegrino is an internationally published independent multimedia journalist based in the American Southwest.

Prominent news publications and media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Newsweek, Reason, NY Post, Deutsche Welle, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, Decision, Mother Jones, and The Miami Herald, published his photos from Ferguson.

Steve was chosen to be the exclusive photographic contributor to the book “Policing Ferguson, Policing America” by former Ferguson Chief of Police Thomas Jackson. Steve’s photos are featured in the documentary on race in America titled “What Killed Michael Brown?” by award-winning writer and filmmaker, Shelby Steele.

In 2016 Steve covered the Presidential race through assignments for The Washington Post, ZUMA Press Wire Service, and Demotix News Wire.

From 2016 through 2019, Steve covered abortion rights issues centered around the last Planned Parenthood clinic in the state of Missouri, which put St. Louis in the international spotlight. His photos were published multiple times in Mother Jones, Reason, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, Decision Magazine, and The Daily Signal.
